Fall Makeup Using Spicy, Warm colors!
In this video, I celebrate Autumn and all the rich and spicy colors abundant at this time of year!
This Autumn Makeup Tutorial for Mature Skin is a full makeup tutorial for autumn using various brands of makeup, including some budget-conscious items. At this time of year, we can all use some healthy looking color and glow, I hope this tutorial helps!
If you’ve seen my video Real Makeup/Real Women~ Kathleen you know my intention was, and still is, to use a selection of other women for makeup tutorials. Unfortunately, I’ve been so busy these past few months that I haven’t had a chance to put that together. So instead of delaying further I’ve decided to make this video.
I’m going to do this video as if I have tan skin. My skin is actual cool and neutral but for the purpose of this video, I am making myself more warm and tan. Hopefully in the future I can do more videos using a more diverse group of women.

A brush set that is lovingly designed by me based on the most useful brushes that I have used for over 4 decades as a professional makeup artist.
As you can see this isn’t my usual color. I’m using a darker and warmer color in order to create the effect of a warmer skin tone. I am applying this foundation all over my face with a Beauty Blender and my fingers. I’m also going to apply this foundation to my neck and chest area so they match my face.
I’m applying concealer to my under eye area. You can also use this concealer to cover any spots or blemishes.
Did you know that if you use concealer that is a slightly darker shade than your foundation, it will diminish the appearance of puffy eyes? Dark colors recess an area, therefore, if your eyes are puffy apply a shade slightly darker than your foundation. If your eyes are more sunken in, do the opposite and use a lighter shade to bring that area forward.
Applying a lid primer is a great way to make your eyeshadow last longer. If your skin is dry you can just use your concealer as a primer as it is more moisturizing than most primers.
This is one of my favorite powders. It’s colorless, won’t settle into fine lines or wrinkles, and wont dry out your skin. Apply this powder all over your face.
I’m going to apply this to my jawline, hairline and cheeks to emphasize my bone structure. I love that this color is not shimmery, it creates a very natural look.
Apply this blush on your cheeks just above where you’ve put the contour to accentuate cheek bones.
This eyeshadow palette can be customized to whatever shades flatter you most. I’m using: Creme Brulee, Honey Badger, Cheetah Bear, Dark Roasted. Use promo code “SILVERSTYLESTUDIO”
Use a small eyeliner brush to apply in small strokes right at the lash line.
The MAC Eyeliner used in this video is discontinued! The Jane Iredale eye pencil is a very close match. Apply this to the bottom lash line.
Curl lashes with an eyelash curler in a few places to create a C curve.
I have been using this mascara for years. I love that this is a thin formula that coats everything single lash. If you prefer a thicker formula for a more dramatic look you might like GrandeDRAMA Thickening Mascara.
I’m keeping my brows very natural and polished and just applying a tinted eyebrow gel.
Applying a lip liner helps lipstick last longer. Apply this lip pencil and blend in so you don’t get a stark line.
Apply lipstick over lips
